- 18:00 – Japan Game Awards 2025: Games of the Year Division (YouTube [English, Japanese]) – This year, the award ceremony will move from the traditional event stage inside the Tokyo Game Show to a new venue in central Tokyo. It will be held on Tuesday, September 23 (National Holiday) at 18:00, as part of the Tokyo Game Show 2025 Pre-Opening Festival. The event will feature the announcement of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, the Breakthrough Award, and the Movement Award, as well as the Game Designers Award and Excellence Awards. From among the Excellence Award winners, the Grand Award will be revealed. The ceremony will be hosted by Hikaru Ijuin, known as one of the biggest gaming enthusiasts in the entertainment world, and Misaki Maeda. Special celebrity guests will also make appearances.
