Tomb Raider: Catalyst – Amazon Games boss suggests 2028 delay, but publisher says ‘no updates’
Development "progressing well," Amazon Games says.
Amazon Games has pushed back on comments made by division leader Jeffrey Gattis—who suggested Tomb Raider: Catalyst has been delayed from 2027 to 2028—stating it has no updates to share regarding the game’s release timing.
“We don’t have anything new to share about Catalyst‘s timing,” a representative for Amazon Games told Gematsu. “The game is progressing well and we look forward to sharing more details as we get closer.”
The statement comes after Amazon Games boss Jeffrey Gattis suggested in a The Games Business podcast today that Tomb Raider: Catalyst is coming in 2028.
“…[Tomb Raider: Legacy of] Atlantis comes February 12 of next year and then we’ll follow on in 2028 with the next one,” Gattis said during the podcast.
Tomb Raider: Catalyst, developed by Crystal Dynamics, was announced in December 2025 for a release across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2027. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which was announced at the same time, was originally planned for release in 2026, but was delayed to February 10, 2027.
