A new adventure with new protagonists and an original story in the world of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is coming to consoles and PC as a “completely offline” title.

Building on the experiences of the Atelier series while also evolving, we invite you to look forward to another story of Resleriana.

A boy and girl return to their lost hometown in search of truth and to bring back what they hold dear.

Story

The town of Hallfein once rested on the border between three provinces, prospering thanks to mining and trade. However, a mysterious tragedy struck the peaceful town, and most of its residents completely vanished. Hallfein became a restricted area, and access was forbidden to all except investigators from the capital.

Years passed, and the restrictions were eventually lifted, after which plans to restore the town were put together. Taking this opportunity, a young man and woman follow their hearts and return to Hallfein after being forced to leave it so long ago; the young woman wanting to restore the shop previously run by her missing grandfather, and the young man hoping to learn more about the items left to him by his departed father. They both also seek to learn why the town’s residents vanished that day.

The two will meet and set out on a journey in search of the truth together. However, neither could imagine just what would await them on that journey.

Field

Like Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, this adventure takes place in the continent of Lantarna.

You can take control of the characters to explore the fields firsthand. Differences between day and night and changes with the weather that weren’t able to be fully included in Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator can now be enjoyed during your adventure.

Combat

This game inherits the tactical timeline battle system from Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. Up to three party members can be placed on both the front and back rows. Enjoy fighting as one united force, and utilize new elements such as Multi-actions, Item Mix, and Link Attacks to add even more excitement to battles.

Synthesis

The synthesis in this came is called “Gift Color Synthesis,” and involves linking the different colors that ingredients possess in order to create items. Items can be strengthened even further by synthesizing along with your allies. Up to three additional ingredients can also be added in order to pass along traits, allowing for simple yet intricate synthesis!

Town Development and Shop Management

You can sell the items you’ve synthesized in your shop in order to develop the town! Earn money by selling a variety of items, and use that money in order to invest in the town’s development. As the town develops, you’ll obtain new synthesis recipes and unlock new parts of the main story.

Characters

• Rias Eidreise (voiced by Hina Tachibana) – One of the protagonists of this story, Rias is a cheerful adventurer with a friendly personality. She is originally from the town of Hallfein, which previously became a restricted area due to a mysterious disaster. She returns to Hallfein after an initiative to restore the town is started, hoping to reopen the shop left by her grandfather and investigate the cause of the disaster. After meeting Slade, she discovers she has a talent for alchemy.
• Slade Clauslyter (voiced by Toki Shunichi) – One of the protagonists of this story, Slade is a calm and reliable young man. He returns to his hometown of Hallfein to uncover the meaning of his father’s last wishes. While he is the one who encourages Rias to first use alchemy, he himself lacks the ability to use it. Instead, he possesses a mysterious tool called a “Geist Core,” which can open the entrances to dimensional paths that lead to alternate dimensions.

Characters from previous Atelier series games will also join your party!

• Razeluxe Meitzen (voiced by Daisuke Ono) – Raze is an exceptional adventurer from another world, hired to facilitate the smooth investigation of the dimensional paths as part of Hallfein’s restoration initiative. He learned combat and alchemy in the academy where he once studied, and possesses exceptional combat skills. Though he appears taciturn and unfriendly, he takes surprisingly good care of others.
• Wilbell Voll-Ersleid (voiced by Seto Asami) – Wilbell decides to visit Hallfein after Raze tells her about the dimensional paths, where rare materials can be found. Since cooperation with Rias and the others is essential to access the dimensional paths, she promises to assist in the investigation until her goal is achieved. Due to her childlike personality, she is often concerned about being perceived as immature.
• Totooria Helmold (voiced by Kaori Nazuka) – An alchemist and wanderer from another world who visits Hallfein to expand her market. Having gone on a journey in search of her missing mother, she empathizes with Rias’s similar goal of finding her missing grandfather. Her unique sense of naming and a knack for making unintentionally sharp remarks don’t quite line up with her cute appearance.
• Sophie Neuenmuller (voiced by Yuuka Aisaka) – At the request of a certain individual, Sophie visits Hallfein to teach alchemy to Rias, who has just become an alchemist. Despite having a bright and gentle personality, she works hard every day with the dream of making everyone happy through alchemy. On the other hand, she is remarkably careless in her everyday life.
