Famitsu Sales: 4/5/21 – 4/11/21

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of April 5, 2021 to April 11, 2021.

Monster Hunter Rise for Switch was the top seller for the third week following its debut in late March, selling an additional 194,327 retail copies, reaching 1,774,063 total sales. In comparison, Monster Hunter: World sold 159,613 retail copies on PlayStation 4 in its third week back in February 2018, reaching 1,750,969 total sales.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 96,259 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 15,560 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 1,430 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 571 units. Next-generation consoles continue to face stock issues.
