Super Meat Boy 3D x MOUSE: P.I. for Hire collaboration update now available
Jack Pepper joins the fray.
Publisher Headup and developer Sluggerfly have released a free update for Super Meat Boy 3D that adds MOUSE: P.I. for Hire protagonist Jack Pepper as a playable character.
“When this case hit our desk, we simply could not turn down the opportunity,” said MOUSE: P.I. for Hire developer Fumi Games CEO and founder Mateusz Michalak in a press release. “Super Meat Boy 3D and MOUSE: P.I. for Hire might seem like an unlikely pairing, but Meat Boy and Jack Pepper have more in common than meets the eye! We are very excited for this collaboration and cannot wait for fans to experience the black and white, noir-infused vibes of Mouseburg in Super Meat Boy 3D.”
Sluggerfly founder and art director Dominik Plassmann added, “Bringing Jack Pepper into Super Meat Boy 3D was an absolute blast. Not just the character himself, but also translating MOUSE: P.I. for Hire’s striking black-and-white noir aesthetic into our game. We always love the opportunity to collaborate with talented teams, and Fumi Games have created something truly special with MOUSE. We’re incredibly excited to see how players react to this unlikely crossover.”
The update also introduces DLSS and FSR support to the game, as well several smaller quality of life updates and bug fixes.
Super Meat Boy 3D is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Microsoft Store.
