Famitsu Sales: 8/23/21 – 8/29/21 [Update]

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of August 23, 2021 to August 29, 2021.

The anticipated visual novel remake Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon was the highest selling new release of the week, debuting at 72,237 sales on Switch and 66,171 sales on PlayStation 4 for a total of 138,408 retail copies sold.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 63,254 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 20,154 units, the Xbox Series family sold 5,669 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 2,067 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles continue to face stock issues.
