You’ll need to make sure to watch the icon in the lower right when you’re navigating. When it turns red, you’re about to hit a random encounter! Take full control of your party to issue commands, but just make sure you don’t fight too close to FOEs, they may join in the battle.
Keep an eye on your mini-maps and watch out for FOEs. These larger than life enemies are a LOT stronger than typical shadows, and can completely ruin your day. Good news, you can usually work around an FOE, it just might be a little puzzling at first….
Mastering map-making in the labyrinth is the key to cutting down on exploration in the dungeons, so we’ve got a bunch of tools at your disposal. Trust us, you’re going to want to play PQ with the stylus out (you haven’t lost your stylus, right?). Rekindle those old-school D&D graph paper skills and unleash your inner cartographer!
