‘Next full Destiny release’ in development

Bungie's online shooter has 9.5 million registered users.

The ‘next full Destiny release’ is already in development, Activision said during a post-earnings financial call today.

“Work has also begun on future expansion packs, as well as on our next full game release,” Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said.

Additionally, the company revealed that the game has “more than 9.5 million registered users” to date. Speaking during the financial call, Hirshberg suggested it’s also sold around that many copies.

“There’s a relationship to sell through, but it’s not exact as some people have more than one profile,” Hirshberg said.

Destiny launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on September 9. Its first expansion, “The Dark Below,” is coming December 9.
