Narrative adventure game Wonderfall will launch for PC via Steam on December 9, developer Attaboy Interactive announced.
Here is an overview of the game, via Attaboy Interactive:
About
Paris, 1920.
The city is collapsing into sand.
A mysterious force known as Entropy is consuming monuments, streets, and lives. Scientists search for answers. Metallic gardens crystallize around ancient landmarks. No one understands what is happening.
You play as Leon, a young orphan able to manipulate sand. As Entropy spreads and Paris falls, you learn to shape the very substance consuming the city. Move through the ruins to uncover what Entropy truly is and what still remains beneath the decay.
A story-rich narrative adventure set in a collapsing 1920 Paris. A contemplative, character-led experience where exploration, traversal, and environmental puzzles shape the pace and deepen your understanding of what happened to Paris.
Exploration
Explore a reimagined 1920 Paris, from crumbling metro tunnels to the sand-covered rooftops of Notre Dame de Paris, across Ile de la Cite and its iconic landmarks.
Districts shift under Entropy’s influence. Hidden paths and forgotten interiors reveal fragments of the city’s past.
Progress comes through discovery. Each new area uncovers another piece of the story.
Gameplay
Leon’s sand-based abilities allow him to reshape part of the environment, slip past corrupted entities, and carve a path through the ruins.
Traversal sequences and environmental puzzles inspired by classic third-person adventures structure your progression through the Ile de la Cite.
Encounters create moments of tension as you move deeper into a world unraveling beneath your feet.
Story
Wonderfall delivers a character-driven narrative through dialogue, cinematic moments, environmental storytelling, and written logs scattered across the city.
Over 2,000 lines of dialogue shape a journey about collapse, consequence, and the fragile balance between humanity and nature.
By the end, you may not have every answer.
But you will understand what was at stake and what truly happened to Paris.
