The Last of Us box art, pre-order bonuses announced

Pre-order for "Survival" and "Sights and Sound" packs.

Following its May 7, 2013 release date announcement at the Video Game Awards on Friday, Sony has revealed the final box art and pre-order bonuses for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us.

Consumers who pre-order the game will receive the “Sights and Sounds Pack,” which includes the official game soundtrack, a PlayStation 3 dynamic theme, and PlayStation Network avatars of “Winter Joel” and “Winter Ellie.”

If you pre-order at GameStop, you’ll get the “Survival Pack” in addition to the “Sights and Sound Pack.” This includes bonus multiplayer experience points, a multiplayer melee attack boost, extra in-game starting cash, special customizable multiplayer character items, and two special bonus skins for Joel and Ellie unlocked after you complete the single-player campaign.

Naughty Dog said it will talk more about the game’s multiplayer at a later date.

If you missed Friday’s trailer, catch it again below. See the final box art and pre-order promotional material at the gallery.
