Following this morning’s announcement of the remastered Bad Ice-Cream Triple Scoop, Nitrome has announced Bad Ice-Cream Resort, an all-new standalone sequel in the arcade puzzle series. It will be available for Switch and PC via Steam. A release date was not announced. A Kickstarter campaign is coming soon.

Ahhh… The tropical island of Sunshine Cove. Once famous for its white sand, active wildlife, and traditional fruit-flavored gelato. Tourism has graced its shores in recent years, with the island inhabitants craving something more. Now there’s every type of entertainment from ship-dragged inflatable rides to extreme explosive volleyball and of course, the weekly volcano Big Island BBQ!
Imagine the peaceful islanders’ surprise when a foreign treat arrived on the island: soft-serve ice cream. Packed with artificial sugar, colors, and preservatives. Step aside healthy fruit snacks, there’s a new treat in town!
But this luxury resort is no holiday. Sunshine Cove is the exclusive turf of the Gelato Family, an old-school crime syndicate who want to keep things… traditional. They don’t take kindly to cheap imitation ingredients, and anyone bringing soft-serve onto their island is looking for a one-way trip to the freezer.
Meet The Soft-Serve Syndicate
Our rogue heroes are finally showing their true colors. No longer just simple, silent recolors from the browser days, the crew has picked up distinct personalities and a LOT of attitude. Meet the core team packed inside the van:
- Vanilla – The rogue leader of the gang. He rocks a gold tooth and an eyepatch, an old war wound from a legendary brawl with a child who tried to garnish his eye with a piece of candy. (The kid hasn’t been seen since.)
- Sorbet – The gang’s stone-cold femme fatale. Sweet and sour in equal measure! Don’t let her style fool you—she is short-tempered, packing killer high heels that she routinely uses to stomp anyone standing between her and a high score.
- Chocolate – The gang’s most stubborn member. Behind his intense block-shaped brow lies a cold hard stare and a total refusal to melt under pressure. An ice cream of very few words, he prefers to let a headbutt do the talking.
- Strawberry – The crew’s high-speed wildcard. Rocking a permanent smirk and seed-speckled freckles, this greedy heavyweight is a hyperactive loose cannon who loves nothing more than shattering ice blocks at breakneck speeds, usually in a mad dash for a second helping.
