This week’s Japanese sales are in. The week starting January 16 and ending January 22 saw three new releases: Rythm Thief R, Onechanbara Z: Kagura, and Beyond the Labyrinth. Unfortunately, neither hit number one, with Mario Kart 7 still sitting well on its throne. This week’s sales were generally low, however. Mario Kart 7 sold 35,105 units. Rhythm Thief was the best-selling new title at 31,598 units. Onechanbara Z did rather well for an Xbox 360 game, taking the fifth position with 22,000 sold. Everything below the fifth position, however, sold 15,000 or lower.
