NIS America has announced today that Cross Edge, released in Japan last summer, will be releasing in North America in May 2009 for the PlayStation 3. Cross Edge is an RPG collaboration co-developed by NIS, Idea Factory, Gust Corporation, Namco Bandai, and Capcom featuring characters from each company. There will be characters from five different games. This includes Etna (Disgaea), Aurica (Ar tonelico), Marie (Atelier Iris), Meu (Spectral Souls), and Morgan (Darkstalkers).

The game will feature an Action Battle System, allowing players to do all sorts of combos and special skills. Gamers can change the costume of each character as well. Action Dungeons are also featured in the game, bringing the game to a 2D side-scrolling levele where you can run, jump, and search for various treasures.
