About
The next chapter of the award-winning Skate franchise, skate. is an ever-evolving online skateboarding sandbox, refreshed with a forever vision in mind. Set in the city of San Vansterdam, a massive, multiplayer skateboarding destination, skate. offers an open world where players can discover unique skate spots—from inside a cathedral to rooftops, canals and more—land insane tricks and connect or compete with friends online. Start your journey learning the ins and outs of skateboarding on the Isle of Grom before exploring everything this new city has to offer—both horizontally and vertically. Featuring new off-board controls for complete freedom and gameplay inspired by authentic skate culture, skate. grows with its community through a new seasonal structure and continuous updates driven by player feedback.
Key Features
- A Skateable City – Welcome to San Vansterdam—a living city built for skating featuring four distinct neighborhoods—Hedgemont, Gullcrest, Market Mile and Brickswich—each with their own vibe, terrain and challenges. Every inch of the world is skateable, from parks and plazas to stair sets, rooftops and massive ramps—you’ll even find a once-holy site transformed into a trick haven just for skaters. There are new spots to discover, hundreds of challenges to conquer and a constantly dynamic scene driven by community. Players can explore the city parkour style to open up a vertical world of hidden rooftop skate parks, massive drop-ins and secret spots, all driven by a dynamic environment where no two sessions are ever the same.
- Feel Every Trick With Upgraded Flick-It System – The iconic control system that set Skate apart has been restored and improved to be more responsive and fluid than ever. Built on the same physics-driven foundation that changed skateboarding games in 2007, Flick-It gives you full control to land every trick with intent and purpose. New tricks like wallies, slappies and firecrackers unlock fresh ways to ride, offering infinite combinations to showcase your style and individuality on the board. We’ve also added our brand new Skatepedia, your ultimate guide to mastering every trick with precision and style.
- Creativity and Community – Shape the city your way with Quick Drop—place ramps, rails, benches and more in real-time to build your own skate spots with friends or strangers. Create custom Throwdowns to challenge friends or the global community, or just cruise together through San Vansterdam’s regularly rotating Community Parks. Cross-play and seamless cross-progression let you skate with anyone, anywhere, carrying your progress, rewards and achievements no matter where you play. Capture all your biggest tricks and slams with the Replay Editor, and share your sickest moments with friends and the community.
- Own Your Look With Deep Customization – Show off your style as you progress your way in San Vansterdam. Create your ideal skater with deep character customization—from body type and facial features to hair and gear from iconic skate and streetwear brands. Personalize your setup with custom decks, grip tape, wheels and stickers that reflect your unique style. Customize your skating experience from preferred control set up to the music that bumps as you’re skating. Skate the way YOU want to.
