The Final Fantasy VII Remake series reimagines the original Final Fantasy VII, first released in 1997, across three distinct games using modern technology.

Tifa Lockhart (voiced by Britt Baron in English)
“They say ‘good people find each other,’ and in this case, we did.”
Cloud’s childhood friend and a member of the Shinra-resistance group Avalanche. She harbors tremendous guilt for the lives taken in the group’s efforts to save the planet. She puts on a brave, cheerful face in front of her comrades, no matter the situation, preferring to keep her thoughts and feelings to herself.
Barret Wallace (voiced by John Eric Bentley in English)
“So what’re we waiting for? Let’s give Sephiroth the beating of a lifetime.”
The leader of an independent Avalanche cell determined to take down Shinra. His fight to save the planet from the company’s tyranny has cost him many friends and loved ones. Though he may come across as abrasive at first, in truth he is caring and bighearted, especially when it comes to his daughter Marlene.
Red XIII (voiced by Max Mittelman in English)
“I wanna keep everyone safe from harm. It’s my duty—like all the Watchers before me.”
A warrior beast hailing from Cosmo Canyon with the faculty of human speech. After being freed from Shinra captivity by Cloud and company, he joins them on their journey, assisting the party with both his extensive knowledge and his razor-sharp claws. He also has a much more youthful and playful side, which he will only show to those he trusts.
Yuffie Kisaragi (voiced by Suzie Yeung in English)
“It is I, the white rose of Wutai—Yuffie. I’ve left my beloved homeland to rid the world of the shadow of Sephiroth.”
A spunky young ninja hailing from the warrior nation of Wutai. Soon after failing her mission to retrieve Shinra’s “ultimate materia” and losing a dear friend, she encounters Cloud and the party.
Cait Sith (voiced by Paul Tinto in English)
“I’ll go where this suit can’t. And on my honor as a cat, I’ll fight tooth and claw!”
A fortune-telling robot cat who always knows just what to say to lighten even the heaviest moods. He has joined Cloud and the party’s journey for reasons he has yet to fully disclose, but his unprecedented access to Shinra’s database has certainly been a boon.
Vincent Valentine (voiced by Matthew Mercer in English)
“I won’t return to my coffin until we’ve put Sephiroth in his.”
A former Shinra operative, this taciturn gunslinger was recently awoken from a long slumber by Cloud and company. Burdened by sins of the past, he patiently waits for his chance at absolution, though he is doubtful one may ever come.
Cid Highwind (voiced by J. Michael Tatum in English)
“The leaping lancer, the dashing dragoon. The one and only Cid Highwind!”
The ace pilot who dreams of space flight and operates a small free-flier business out of the world’s abandoned airstrips. He joins Cloud and the party to assist them in their journey across the planet.
Aerith Gainsborough (voiced by Briana White in English)
“Don’t worry. We’ve got this—trust me.”
A young flower peddler and the last of the Cetra, an ancient race who can commune with the planet. Sensing the threat Sephiroth poses, she joins Cloud and the others on their journey to protect the planet, confronting her destiny with quiet dignity. Though she puts on a brave face, she harbors a deep anxiety for the world’s future.
Zack Fair (voiced by Caleb Pierce in English)
“Guess it’s time to be the hero.”
A SOLDIER: First Class. A friend of Cloud’s and Aerith’s first love. He once worked directly under Sephiroth. Though ever at the mercy of fate, he presses on, hopeful and undaunted.

“Let’s put your faith to the test, Cloud.”
The once-vaunted SOLDIER: First Class who many considered to be a hero. Though presumed to have died five years prior, he continues to haunt Cloud. While he claims to seek dominion over the planet, his true intentions remain a mystery.
