Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes coming to Switch 2 on October 16

Capcom will release the remake versions of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 for Switch 2 via Nintendo eShop on October 16, the company announced. Physical editions will follow on January 29, 2027.

Resident Evil 2 first launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on January 25, 2019, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on June 13, 2022, Switch via cloud streaming on November 11, 2022, and iPhone, iPad, and Mac on December 10, 2024.

Resident Evil 3 first launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on April 3, 2020, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on June 13, 2022, Switch via cloud streaming on November 18, 2022, and iPhone, iPad, and Mac on March 18, 2025.

Resident Evil 4 first launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on March 24, 2023, followed by iPhone, iPad, and Mac on December 20, 2023.
