Famitsu Sales: 7/27/26 – 8/2/26
Village in the Shade tops 34,423 opening week retail sales.
Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software data for Japan for the week of July 27, 2026 to August 2, 2026.
Splatoon Raiders for Switch 2 remained the top seller following its debut the previous week, moving an additional 73,542 retail units.
Village in the Shade was the highest selling new release of the week, opening at 21,965 copies on Switch 2 and 12,458 copies on Switch, surpassing 34,423 debut retail sales. The PlayStation 5 version did not chart in the top 10.
On the hardware side, Switch 2 sold 30,606 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 10,107 units, the Switch family sold 8,233 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 92 units.
