Inti Creates has announced Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 1+2 Dual Collection for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC (Steam). It includes both Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX and Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 with all downloadable content, as well as a new mode and balance adjustments. It will launch on July 9.
In Japan, the console versions will be available both physically and digitally. The PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will cost 5,830 yen for the standard edition and 13,750 yen for the limited edition, while the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will cost 6,930 yen for the standard edition and 14,960 yen for the limited edition. The latter includes an A4-size “Official Complete Works” art book, and a four-disc “Complete Soundtrack” CD. Pre-orders for either edition includes an A4-size clear file.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 1+2 Dual Collection is a collection of two traditional 2D action platformers, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX (2019) and Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 (2022), together in one release, complete with all downloadable content.
New to the Dual Collection, the “Endless Battle” mode will allow players to take on a never-ending challenge. Configure the settings to your liking before facing off against an endless onslaught of random bosses.
Each title also receives some balance update to upgrade the gameplay to be sharper and more accessible than ever, for new and old players alike.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 receives its own Endless Battle mode, plus a new “Spike Smash” system, powering up Copen’s main weapon, the Razor Wheel.
