Rocket Panda Games acquires Phantom Breaker IP from MAGES.
"The beginning of a new chapter in the Phantom Breaker franchise."Rocket Panda Games has acquired the Phantom Breaker intellectual property from MAGES., which includes the 2D fighting game series and side-scrolling beat ’em up spin-off Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds, the company announced.
The Phantom Breaker series began with the release of the original game on Xbox 360 on June 2, 2011 in Japan, and has since spawned several core games, arcade versions, and beat ’em up spin-off titles.
Rocket Panda Games launched Phantom Breaker: Omnia, the most recent entry in the series, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on March 15.
The company plans to “further explore new directions for the intellectual property and is committed to maximizing the series’ potential for fans around the world.”

Panda in a press release. “We go way back with [producer Masaki Sakari] and have a great relationship with MAGES., and we’re super happy to carry on the torch for the series.
