Nippon Ichi Software has released a new “Read Aloud” trailer with narration by Reina Kondou, as well as the latest information and screenshots for The Wicked King and the Noble Hero introducing more about systems such as enemy weaknesses and help quests.

■ Charming Locations, From Nature-Filled Mountains to a World of Snow and More

The setting of your adventure is a mysterious world inhabited by monsters. Go on an adventure with Yuu to charming locations, each with their own unique traits and cultures.

During your adventure, you may also encounter creatures unique to that area. Sometimes it may be good to take a break from your adventure and take in the scenery.

Foot of the Mountain

A forest that spreads around the cave where the King Dragon and Yuu live. Few dangerous monsters lurk here due to its calm climate and abundance of nature.

A cave with dim rocks and stalactites. Many monsters evolved to adapt inhabit the cave.

Ice Moon Hill

A place covered in snow and ice year-round. it is said to be a popular tourist attraction. It is very cold, so you may want to wear something warm.

■ A Relaxing Village Where Time Passes Peacefully

At the foot of the mountain is a village where monsters are gathered. Some of the monsters are villainous, while others have kind hearts. The “Monster Village” is a place where those who wish to live together gather.

It is here where you can buy tools, help those in trouble, and proceed with “Yuu’s Helping of Others.”

■ Prepare for Your Adventure

At the item shop, you can buy useful items for your adventure. Be sure to prepare at the item shop before setting out.

—There is a item shop in the Monster Village, as well as other locations. Be sure to utilize them when you come across them.

■ Learn About Monster Ecology

The monsters you encounter during your adventure will be recorded in the “Monster Compendium.” The Monster Compendium even contains information about things like the monster’s ecology, so be sure to check it when you encounter a new monster. Even when facing tough opponents, you may become attached if you check out their Monster Compendium entry.

A frog-like monster with a body made of moss. It uses its tongue to attack.

■ Strike the Enemy’s Weakness to Gain the Upper Hand

Each monster has its own weakness, such as a specific attribute or action. By observing a monster using Yuu’s special skill “Observe,” you may be able to discover a hint about their weakness.

—Select “Observe” from your special skills. Since it does not consume energy, you can use it as you please. It may be good to use this skill when you first encounter a monster to pinpoint its weakness.

—By using “Observe,” you can learn the monster’s status. Does the Moss Ball Frog dislike being ignored? Try leaving one it alone without attacking.

You can deal a great amount of damage to monsters whose weaknesses have been exploited. Take advantage of their weaknesses to gain the upper hand!

When you exploit a monster’s weakness, it may lose its will to fight, allowing you to let them escape without any further battle using the special skill “Overlook.” It is important to have a kind heart and let them go sometimes.

■ Helping Out Those In Need

1. First, talk to someone in need of help.

2. From getting rid of bad monsters to gathering medicinal herbs, monsters have all sorts of troubles. Their request will be displayed in the “Adventure Log,” so take a look at it and clear your objective.

4. Mission complete! As thanks, you will receive rewards such as items, shells (money), or “Star Fragments” that you can be used in “Collections.”

Yuu’s Helping of Others are small stories of helping others separate from the main story. Regardless of your progress in the main story, you can do these quests freely / on your own timing. If the battles against tougher enemies are too difficult, it may be good to progress the story to obtain useful items. You will surely enjoy learning more about the charming inhabitants of the world through their stories. Help those in need and become a noble hero!

■ When In Doubt, Adventure Log Out

If you are accepting a lot of help quests, you may lose track of each objective’s location. In such instances, open the Adventure Log.

The Adventure Log is a record of Yuu’s adventure. You can check the objectives required to clear help quests in progress and more. Short stories are also recorded for cleared help quests. Give them a read and maybe you will discover something new.

—By setting the help quest you want to check as your objective, you can check the places where the items you need to clear it are located.

■ Little Treasures

In Collections, you can view concept art and sketches in exchange for the Star Fragments you come across during the game. You can get Star Fragments by clearing help quests, so gather a bunch and then check out the Collections page.
