Famitsu Sales: 4/20/20 – 4/26/20 [Update]

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of April 20, 2020 to April 26, 2020.

The best selling new release last week was Trials of Mana, which moved 80,383 units on PlayStation 4 and 70,114 units on Switch for a combined opening week total of 150,497 retail copies. Also in the top 10, the PlayStation 4 version of The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki opened at 10,979 sales and Predator: Hunting Grounds for PlayStation 4 opened at 9,172 sales.

Despite the new releases, Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Switch was the top selling game this week, moving another 283,913 retail copies. Final Fantasy VII Remake for PlayStation 4 also moved another 65,569 copies.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 107,104 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 33,056 units, and the 3DS family sold 1,784 units.
