PS5 shipments top 95.3 million

PlayStation 5 has shipped 95.3 million units worldwide, Sony announced in its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2026.

A total of 1.6 million PlayStation 5 units were shipped during the three months ended June 30, 2026, which is down 0.9 million from the same period the previous fiscal year.

Here are a couple of additional statistics:

• There are 125 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network as of June 30, 2026, which is up two million from the same period the previous fiscal year.
• PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined sold 66.1 million units during the three months ended June 30, 2026, which is up 0.2 million from  the same period the previous fiscal year. Six million units were first-party titles, which is down 0.19million from the same period the previous fiscal year. 82 percent of software sales were full game software digital downloads, which is down one percent from the same period the previous fiscal year.
