Media Create Sales: 2/12/18 – 2/18/18

The Secret of Mana remake was the highest selling new release in Japan last week, the latest Media Create sales reveal. The PlayStation 4 version sold 36,042 units and the PS Vita sold 17,947 units for a total of 53,989 opening sales.

Also new last week, the Switch version of Bayonetta 2 debuted at 212,26 units, and A Certain Magical Virtual-On for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita opened at 17,938 units and 9,284 units, respectively, for a total of 27,222 sales.

None of the week’s new releases landed the position of top seller for the week, however. Monster Hunter: World maintained that position, which it has held since it launched on January 26, with another 85,322 sales.

On the hardware side, the PlayStation 4 family remained the top selling hardware for the sixth consecutive week with 49,502 units sold. Switch sold 39,303 units, and the 3DS family sold 10,160 units.
