Sega trademarks “Narcia’s Tears and the Fairy’s Flute” in Japan

Sega to publish the next PopoloCrois game?

Sega filed a trademark for “Narcia’s Tears and the Fairy’s Flute” (Narushia no Namida to Yousei no Fue) in Japan on July 24.

Narcia is the name of a key character in the PopoloCrois series, in which fairies also play a prominent role. And series developer Epics was recently hiring for new PopoloCrois Monogatari game, with one of the main duties being “UI design intended for smartphone and consumer game screens.” That said, it is possible that the next PopoloCrois game will be published by Sega and this is its subtitle.

It should be noted that the PopoloCrois name is owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment. 2015’s Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale, which was licensed by Marvelous and released for 3DS, was the first consumer game in the series released on a non-PlayStation platform.
