The latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation offers first details on Accel World VS Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight, Bandai Namco‘s October-announced action RPG for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
Accel World VS Sword Art Online uses the world of Sword Art Online: Lost Song as its base, which is set in “ALfheim Online” and lets players move freely about in 360 degrees.
Here’s the prologue to the story: “In the world of ALfheim Online, where Kirito and friends are adventuring, sudden and urgent maintenance is announced. In chasing after Yui, who is heading somewhere and acting different than usual, Kirito and Asuna are assaulted by a mysterious black machine humanoid avatar called ‘Black Lotus.'”
The following characters are confirmed to appear:
- Kirito (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka)
- Asuna (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu)
- Lisbeth (voiced by Ayahi Takagaki)
- Silica (voiced by Rina Hidaka)
- Black Lotus (voiced by Sachika Misawa)
- Silver Crow (voiced by Yuki Kaji)
- Lime Bell (voiced by Aki Toyosaki)
- Scarlet Rain (voiced by Rina Hidaka)
Battles use the “Ground-Sky Active Change Battle” system, where players can switch between characters in a three-person party and attack enemies in real time both on land and in the sky. A screenshot in the magazine shows a party consisting of Kirito, Asuna, and Silver Crow.
Accel World VS Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan in 2017. A live stream is planned for December 7.
