NieR: Automata Japanese box art, PlayStation Store purchase bonus announced

Plus, a new piece of artwork.

Square Enix has unveiled the Japanese box art and announced the Japanese PlayStation Store purchase bonus for NieR: Automata.

The box art, illustrated by Akihiko Yoshida, features characters YoRHa No2 Type B holding YoRHa No9 Type S, and YoRHa Type A No2 behind her.

Purchases at the PlayStation Store include the “Game Machine” pod skin. “Pods” are standard issue support units for members of the YoRHa automated infantry squad that provide long-range attack and movement support. This PlayStation Store bonus lets you change the skin of your pod to look like the original PlayStation.

If you missed it, we got a look at some of the bonuses included with the purchase of NieR: Automata at other shops last week.

NieR: Automata will launch for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23. It is due out for PlayStation 4 and PC in early 2017 in North America and Europe.
