Happy birthday, dear Dragon Quest.

Dragon Quest

Square Enix has released a special trailer for Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End in commemoration of the Dragon Quest series’ 30th anniversary.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita tomorrow, May 27, in Japan, which is also the date of the series’ 30th anniversary, making the game the series’ anniversary commemoration title.

The special trailer sees Mirai Moriyama and Emi Takei, who play the protagonists of Dragon Quest Heroes II, as well as Takayuki Yamada, who plays their childhood friend and companion, sing “Happy Birthday” to the series, before rolling into a montage of Dragon Quest logos.

Square Enix will host a countdown live stream to Dragon Quest‘s 30th anniversary later this morning.
