Versus Evil announces E3 2015 lineup

Indie games publisher Versus Evil has announced the lineup of titles it’s bringing to this month’s E3.

“We are proud to be able to host such an incredible group of indie developers and their quality games at this year’s E3,” said Versus Evil general manager Steve Escalante. “Our line-up of The Banner Saga 2, Skyshine’s Bedlam, Afro Samurai 2, Armikrog, Guild of Dungeoneering and Kyn gives us eagerly awaited sequels, spiritual successors to all-time classics, and innovative newcomers all under one roof. These games and their teams will contribute to one of the best E3s for high caliber, independently developed games which deserve to be on this world class stage.”

Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma, Volume 1

The Banner Saga 2

  • Description: A playable demo will debut from the eagerly awaited sequel to the critically-acclaimed award winning The Banner Saga and will expand on the previous game’s deep Viking-inspired story, introduce a cast of new characters and offer improved graphics and features.

Guild of Dungeoneering

  • Developer: Gambrinous
  • Genre: Dungeon Master RPG
  • Platforms: PC, Mac
  • Release Date: Summer 2015
  • Description: From Irish developer Gambrinous, Guild of Dungeoneering is a turn-based dungeon crawler with a twist: instead of controlling the hero you build the dungeon around him. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks, players lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot. Meanwhile the hero is making his own decisions on where to go and what to fight.

  • Description: Kyn has been developed by just two guys in the Netherlands over the last four years and offers gamers a fully-fledged traditional RPG experience. In a world where Viking mythology collides with magic, gamers will be able to explore the world in this fast paced role playing game while controlling up to six warriors in party based combat.

Skyshine’s Bedlam

  • Genre: Turn Base Strategy, Roguelike

  • Release Date: 2015
  • Description: Skyshine’s Bedlam is a hard hitting roguelike strategy game that takes place in a unique but dangerous post-apocalyptic world. Indie developer Skyshine Games have created a unique universe with fast-paced combat and a wealth of choices in a randomly generated world, all of which combine to make an incredibly replayable game.
