Rumor: New Front Mission in development at Square Enix Japan

Armored Core producer Toshifumi Nabeshima reportedly involved.

Front Mission 5

A new Front Mission game is in development at Square Enix Japan, according to a Siliconera source at the company.

Former Armored Core series producer Toshifumi Nabeshima is reportedly involved in the project. He left FromSoftware and moved to Square Enix.

The most recent Front Mission game, Front Mission Evolved, was developed by Double Helix Games, a western company, and released in 2010 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The last Japan-developed console release was Front Mission 5: Scars of the War in 2005, which never saw a western release.
