Watch the latest "Wicked Inside" showcase.
Moon Studios has shared new information on the version 1.0 release of action RPG No Rest for the Wicked during its latest “Wicked Inside” showcase, introducing the brand new class system, factions, and more details about the road to launch.
Here are the details:
In the new episode of Wicked Inside, Moon Studios shares details on the brand new class system, which promises to dramatically expand combat and character possibilities for players journeying through Isola Sacra. Other updates include info on new factions players can join to experience Isola Sacra from a new point of view and other improvements that refine the pillars the action RPG genre is known for.
- The New Class System – Gone is the attribute system that previously funneled players towards certain playstyles. Simply picking up a weapon alters a player’s class from one of a possible 24, with the ability to bring traits from one class to another. Spears charged with electricity raining like arrows, stealth maneuvers that end fights before they’ve begun and synergy crafting that combines the best of multiple classes for truly jaw-dropping punishment. 362 traits across 24 classes means there are numerous ways to fill trait slots, and adding a weapon expands possibilities even further.
- Factions – Rise from a new recruit to the top of the food chain in one of Isola Sacra’s six factions, like the assassins of the Severed Hand, the knightly Sacrament Guard, or the Unspoken. Each comes with their own unique questline with new traits, unique vendors and some additional surprises.
- Cerim Cores – Whereas the class system defines how players fight, Cerim Cores define how they endure, ranging from simple upgrades like health, stamina and focus to more exotic aspects like “Feral” increasing attack speed or “Crimson” granting lifesteal. It’s a tempting game of risk vs. reward as going over the capacity of Cores means taking more damage from all attacks.
- The Road to 1.0 Launch – This is no small update. Wicked’s 1.0 update will roughly double the size of the game, with new explorable zones, entirely new enemy factions, new bosses, refinements to the loot system, combat upgrades, quality of life improvements and last but not least: ensuring PlayStation 5 performance is as smooth as possible.
No Rest for the Wicked is the highly celebrated action RPG from Moon Studios, known for creating the beloved Ori series. The game is an enticing blend of dark storytelling, painterly visuals and best-in-class Soulslike combat and RPG design. Players take on the role of a “Cerim,” a member of a holy order imbued with mysterious powers, tasked with destroying the Pestilence, an ancient plague that has begun to consume the island Isola Sacra, itself already the site of great political upheaval and death. Players can collect and craft weapons, items and more to turn the tide of each battle, upgrade their character and personal homestead and play their part in an epic tale of bloodshed and bravery.
No Rest for the Wicked is currently in Early Access for PC. It will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in March 2027, followed by Xbox Series and Switch 2 at a later date.
