Evolve: Third monster, offline experience, and Xbox One open beta detailed

Introducing the small and agile Wraith.

2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have revealed the third monster, offline experience, and Open Beta dates for upcoming four-versus-one shooter Evolve.

The open beta will be exclusive to Xbox One and will run from January 15 at 6 a.m. EST to January 19. New hunter and monster characters unlocked in the open beta will carry ver to the final retail version. And on January 17, the beta will ad access to “Evacuation,” the game’s campaign combining the full array of maps and modes into what 2K calls “a unique and highly replayable experience.” Find more details on the beta here.

The third playable monster is the Wraith, a “small, terrifying, and stealthy assassin” quick in movement and with two long blades for close-range damage. She has the least amount of health compared to Evolve‘s other monsters, but her quick movements allow her to dart around and avoid taking damage. Read up more on the Wraith here.

Every character, map, and mode in Evolve can be played offline as a solo player competing against computer-controlled enemies. Read up more on the offline experience here.

Evolve will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide on February 10. Watch a new set of trailers below. View a new set of screenshots at the gallery.
