Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2015, Kojima Productions confirmed during its Tokyo Game Show “Vocation” stage event.
Two new videos were shown:
- The first video (starts at 14:35) is an extended version of the Quiet teaser the studio shared on last week’s Kojima Station. You’ll see Quiet infiltrate the base, leaving its soldiers dumbfounded at her camouflage abilities.
- The second video (starts at 23:15) is a Tokyo Game Show special mission. It’s set in a forest-like and is pretty lengthy, so please watch and enjoy. Oh, and there’s a waterfall.
Additionally, Kojima lifted the lid on the game’s new buddy system. Other characters, such as Quiet, can tag along with Snake on missions in an effort to support his infiltration efforts. Support characters can be made to do things such as proceed ahead of Snake and perform infiltrations themselves and provide supporting fire, widening the strategic breadth of the game.
