No, The Last Guardian has not been cancelled

PlayStation Software Product Development Head confirms.

The Last Guardian

IGN went up with a report this morning claiming The Last Guardian, first announced for PlayStation 3 at E3 2009, has been cancelled.

The report cited sources within Sony, stating that the news was confirmed at an internal meeting last week.

The internet exploded. But no, The Last Guardian has not been cancelled. Scott Rohde, PlayStation Software Product Development Head for Sony Worldwide Studios America, had the following to say on Twitter:

“I laughed at this rumor over dinner. The Last Guardian has NOT been cancelled.”

Rohde’s tweet was retweeted by the official PlayStation Twitter account.

There you have it. Stop freaking out, people of the internet.
