Rumor: 2K preparing XCOM FPS re-reveal

Mysterious package signals upcoming announcement.

2K Games might be preparing its XCOM first-person shooter for a proper re-announcement.

VideoGamer received a package this morning, branded “Burn After Opening,” containing a dossier, ash try, and lighter.

Inside the dossier is a sight-seeing map of Rosemont, Georgia, one of the confirmed locations in XCOM, and a sort of micro-film with a picture of a street and cube floating in the air, which we’ve already seen in previous XCOM screenshots.

There are some other hints, too, which you can discover through the video below.

Rumors have suggested the XCOM first-person shooter is in fact no longer an XCOM or first-person game at all. Apparently, it’s now a third person shooter called The Bureau.
