The first of Dead Island: Riptide‘s new characters is a man named John Morgan. He joins the four characters from the first game as the sequel’s fifth playable personality.
A master of hand-to-hand combat and cook on a military ship, his dreams of becoming a soldier of the U.S. Navy have not quite taken off. He can be used to play through the entire game, and was inspired by popular fan modifications to the PC version of the first game.
Publisher Deep Silver also revealed a new location, a town on the island of Palanai called Henderson. A “luxurious” and “Mediterranean-looking” port town, it caters to the “ultra-wealthy yacht owners and eco-tourists” looking to stay nearby the island’s jungles.
