Death Road announced for PS3, PC

WipEout-esque futuristic racer arrives this summer.

Polish game studio Active Zone Group is bringing a new futuristic racer to PlayStation 3 and PC.

Death Road, as it’s called, is set in the future on the planet Ameliana, where players will race using eleven future vehicles equipped with six basic weapons (machine guns, plasma guns, missiles, etc.) throughout eight different locations.

The game’s single-player mode contains “as many as” 55 missions across four chapters, and promises “over eight hours” of gameplay. Additionally, the game features fast race, time trial, elimination, mine field, combat, and hunt modes.

Death Road will debut first on PC on March 30. A PlayStation 3 version (we’re guessing via PlayStation Network) will be released this summer.
