Dead Island ships three million

Sales performance "very well" over holiday season.

Dead Island has shipped 3 million copies worldwide since launch, publisher Deep Silver announced today. In September, the publisher confirmed shipments of 2 million.

Dead Island has sold very, very well over the holiday season and we are thrilled that it has sustained a robust level of sell-through since launch in September,” Aubrey Norris, Manager of Marketing & PR for Deep Silver told Game Informer.

Sales numbers were not provided.

Dead Island, developed by Polish studio Techland, launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 6, 2011.
