2K Games has announced Top Spin 4 this morning, their latest iteration of the Top Spin tennis series, is set to release in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. This follows the recent announcement of Virtua Tennis 4 from Sega for PlayStation 3 at Gamescom a couple of weeks ago.
“Top Spin 4 is shaping up to be the most realistic and exhilarating tennis game in the Top Spin franchise,” said Greg Thomas, president of product development for 2K Sports. “For this iteration, the development team is focused on delivering a bold new take on the sport of tennis by allowing gamers to experience first-hand an uncanny level of realism in the player and stadium models, authentic audio captured directly from real tennis matches, and all-new innovative controls to dominate the competition.”
The game’s in development at Mafia II developers 2K Czech. It promises redesign controls, “jaw-dropping” player models, TV-style presentation elements, and “one of the deepest players rotsres to date”. Those who pre-order the game at GameStop will receive a vintage Andre Agassi playable character redemption code.
It’s out 2011. Check out the first screenshots at the gallery.
