A new developer diary released by 2K Games today gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the world of Mafia II, also known as Empire Bay – a city largely inspired off of New York City. The developers say that it’s twice as big as the city in the original Mafia.
They talk about how the era changes from the 40s to the 50s, how new things like rock-n-roll and television comes into play and how players can really feel the shift in the environment when all of this occurs.
There’s a lot of interesting details that’ll surely raise your hype for Mafia II. The game’s due out August 27 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
