Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi has said that his upcoming Wii role-playing game, The Last Story, may just be the last story he tells in the gaming industry.
The RPG mastermind has said on his blog that he was “completely pouring everything into [The Last Story], there is a strong feeling this may be my last work.”
His company, which was founded in 2004, has only released a few titles on the market. They include Xbox 360‘s Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, as well as the aforementioned Last Story.
Funny enough, when he created Final Fantasy, Squaresoft was in financial debt and it was their ‘final fantasy’ to make it as a company. Looks like his final title might have relevance in his career path, as well.
Thanks, IncGamers.
