The first single-player downloadable content for BioShock 2 has been announced and dated by 2K Games this morning.
The ‘Protector Trials’ downloadable content doesn’t expand on the story, but does allow players to step back into the shoes of a Big Daddy as they try to protect their Little Sisters from the Splicers of Rapture trying to steal her ADAM.
The content comes with new challenges “designed to push players’ mastery of weapons and Plasmids.” The goal is simple – keep your Little Sister safe as she gathers ADAM.
The pack includes six new maps based on different areas found in BioShock 2‘s single-player campaign, new unlockable concept art and videos, and seven new Achievements/Trophies to obtain.
‘Protector Trials’ will be available on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PlayStation Network, and Windows LIVE for $4.99 (400 Microsoft Points) on August 3, 2010.
2K’s sent out a trailer of the new content which can be seen below.
