New details on F1 2010 racer have surfaced this morning, with the Codemasters developers saying the game “will focus on simulation authenticity”.
“The preference has always been to go down the simulation path,” said Stephen Hood, Chief Games Designer, “You can make a realistic sim easier to play for somebody but it’s very difficult to take an arcade handling system and make that appeal to people who prefer simulation handling.”
A new ‘Handling’ developer diary has been released, where both the developers and former Formula One test driver Anthony Davidson discuss the team’s aim to create the “most authentic experience possible.” Handling is a very important aspect of the game, and Davidson provides that data and feedback for the game to make it as authentic as can be.
