Dead Island – Techland‘s zombie-infested first-person shooter for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC – has been on the hush hush for quite a while now. Last we heard, Techland found a publisher, but had to stay quiet about who it was.
Many assumed it was Ubisoft, due to their deal with Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood, but today it appears that Deep Silver may be the real publisher.
Heading over to DeadIsland.com, you’ll be directed to Deep Silver’s official site. Although, another site is up for Dead Island at DeadIslandGame.com, which brings you to an “Under Construction” notice.
Dead Island tells the story of two lovers, flying out to their dream vacation, however, their plane crashes and they’re both separated on a remote, zombie-infested island. As Mike Jennings, the player must find his wife as well as find out what caused this zombie outbreak. Players will be able to use almost anything on the island as weapons. Hopefully you’ll be able to cut down trees. Battering ram, anyone?
