This time, we have broken away from the rigid framework of traditional linear stage progression and evolved the game into a strategy RPG experience built around both tactical depth and free exploration. you’ll become the Nameless, a figure searching for lost memories from the shadows. Alongside a mysterious white-haired girl, you rise from mire and mist into a world of shifting loyalties, impossible choices, and nations standing on the brink. Across the mist-shrouded sea, hidden currents begin to stir, and a new saga unfolds.
01 / Strategic Evolution: Dual Heroes, Dual Troop Types, and a New Layer of Tactical Freedom

The hero-and-soldier system has always been the soul of the Langrisser series. This time, while preserving the classic tactical logic of heroes leading troops, we have expanded it into a hybrid combat system featuring two heroes and two troop types. In the past, each squad was led by a single hero. In Langrisser: Sea of Sword, two heroes can now enter battle together. You can assign any hero as the main or secondary hero, and switch between them flexibly on the battlefield.
Dynamic Tactical Shifts – When heroes switch between main and secondary positions, their skill forms and tactical roles change accordingly.
Free Troop Mixing – The troop types led by both heroes are combined into a brand-new squad, and troop types can be freely changed.
Enhanced Bonds – Deploying certain hero pairs together will also activate exclusive Hero Unity Skills. When two armies clash, Langrisser‘s classic combat presentation has received a full visual upgrade, bringing the impact and spectacle of battlefield confrontation to life like never before.
02 / Spatial Evolution: From Langrisser Stages to a New Langrisser World
This time, we are moving beyond isolated battlefield maps and building a continuous, living Langrisser world. With free exploration now in your hands, the sense of adventure unique to JRPGs will become part of every strategic step you take.
Forests, towns, royal cities, caves… this time, you can explore them yourself. Maps now include light puzzle mechanics and terrain-shifting elements, making exploration more engaging. Through NPC interactions and material gathering, you can uncover hidden story details and unexpected encounters tucked away in every corner.
As your adventure progresses, you will unlock your own territory. A powerful army cannot grow without careful management. From a humble camp in the mud to a commanding fortress that controls an entire region, every step will bear witness to your growth.

03 / Battlefield Expansion: Destructible Terrain and Multiple Paths to Victory
We have also taken battlefield map design even further. Dragon islands, forests, and siege battles each feature distinct visual styles and mechanics.
Height Advantage – Elevation differences created by complex terrain can become the decisive factor that turns the tide of battle.
Battlefield Destruction – Terrain and objects on the battlefield can be destroyed during combat. You can blast open the walls and fortifications of Caladrim to create a breach and seize victory through surprise, or cut down a massive stone bridge above a waterfall, sending enemy forces plunging below while cutting off their advance. The battlefield itself becomes a weapon in your strategy, ensuring that every battle holds endless possibilities.

In terms of visual presentation, we have stayed true to the lineage of classic heroic fantasy. Rather than chasing visual excess for its own sake, the development team has chosen to push the craftsmanship of hand-drawn art to its fullest. This time, you will play as the Nameless, a figure burdened with shattered memories, and set foot alongside the white-haired girl Eta into the cold order of a vast empire. There, you will be drawn into factional conflict and tangled webs of ambition. Struggling to survive amid uncertain choices, you will experience a brand-new story that feels more grounded and more unforgiving. This is no noble expedition, but a ruthless struggle between power, choice, and survival.
