Activision‘s upcoming Radical-developed mutation of an open-world action game has been given a solid release date today. Prototype will ship to North American retailers on June 9th and in Europe on June 5th.
Prototype is set in New York City after Alex Mercer wakes up on an experimentation table. With lost memories and new shape-shifting abilities, Alex sets out to the city, consuming people, trying to regain memories to find out what’s went wrong with him and who turned him into this creature.
Along with the release date, a new trailer and screenshots have been released.
