DAVE THE DIVER DLC ‘Subnautica 2 Content Pack’ announced

Due out in early 2027.

MINTROCKET has announced DAVE THE DIVER‘s final downloadable content pack—a Subnautica 2-themed expansion in partnership with Unknown Worlds Entertainment. It will launch free of charge in early 2027.

“For our final [downloadable content] expansion, we wanted to create something that felt especially meaningful, and a Subnautica collaboration is what players have been asking us about for a long time,” said MINTROCKET studio director Jaeho Hwang in a press release. “Both games are set underwater, but Subnautica has such a distinct approach to underwater exploration, so working with the Subnautica 2 team gave us a chance to bring a new wave to DAVE THE DIVER experience. We’re really excited for players to see what we’ve been working on, and we hope this collaboration gives them one more fresh and surprising adventure with Dave and his friends, old and new.”

Subnautica 2 creative director Anthony Gallegos added, “We’re so excited to collaborate with the team at MINTROCKET. It’s clear that we both adore one another’s games a lot, and the expansion is a love letter to both DAVE THE DIVER and the Subnautica universe. People are in for a treat.”

Here are the first details:

The free expansion will see players explore the strange new waters of Proteus, filled with unfamiliar creatures and valuable resources waiting to be discovered.
The upcoming Subnautica 2 Content Pack creates a confluence of mysterious waters unlike anything before, with Dave and Bancho traveling interdimensionally to make new discoveries, unlock strange and exotic recipes, and lend a hand to new friends in need—all while facing periodic confrontations with the perilous Leviathan.

DAVE THE DIVER is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, iOS, and Android.
