
Publisher G-MODE Corporation and developers room6 and Game Studio have announced Next: The Portopia Serial Murder Case, a full remake of the 1983-released, Yuji Hori-created Famicom adventure game The Portopia Serial Murder Case. It will launch for Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam in 2027 in Japan. It will only support Japanese as a language option.

About
First released for the PC-6001 by Enix (now Square Enix) in June 1983, the game was subsequently ported to many personal computers of that era.
On November 29, 1985, a port was released for the Family Computer, becoming a classic masterpiece as the console’s very first adventure game.

Gameplay
This title is a menu-driven, command-selection text adventure game. Players utilize a variety of commands to navigate the investigation. By gathering witness statements and physical evidence, you will gradually uncover the truth behind the serial murders.
