Publisher 2P Games and developer NEKCOM Games have released the Gamescom 2026 trailer for “post-apocalyptic romance RPG” and “alternate history ensemble period drama” Showa American Story.
“Showa American Story is an RPG steeped in retro pop culture,” NEKCOM Games said. “In the late 1980s, a dominant Japan culturally colonized America. Resurrected from the grave, Chigusa Choko embarks on a road trip of combat, exploration, and growth across a world both absurd and strangely familiar.”
Showa American Story will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
