Taegwido, an Island Born Upon the Collapsed Six Realms
“The Sources that can restore the cycle of reincarnation lie scattered across Taegwido.”
The outcast Agasa shattered the boundaries to break the wheel of reincarnation. From these fractured lands, the island of Taegwido was born. Explore Taegwido and the rifts to seek the Sources and restore the Six Realms.
Six Seekers, Six Afflictions
“Six Seekers, six different paths. Their fates begin to entwine in Taegwido.”
Become one of the six Seekers and set out to recover the Sources scattered across Taegwido. The other Seekers, each driven by their own purpose, will join you as allies along the way. As you face countless trials together, you will come to understand and rely on one another.
As the story unfolds, their pasts, wounds, and the reasons for entering Taegwido will gradually come to light. Walk the path to restore the Six Realms and witness a tale of souls burdened by different karma becoming true companions.
Foes Awakened From Legend
Creatures from Eastern myth and folklore emerge as powerful bosses, their lore and presence shaping the very grounds on which you face them.
Read each boss and ever-shifting battlefield, then choose your moment to dodge and counter. Every foe demands a different answer.
Darkness Beneath the Beauty
Tranquil temples and fallen citadels. War-scarred lands and streets tangled with fiendish phantoms. Discover a world that blends Eastern aesthetics with mythic imagination. Beautiful as it may be, beneath the surface lurk twisted beings and ancient tragedy.
Discover rich landscapes with distinct character and stories all their own. Experience TARAE: The Unbound‘s take on Eastern dark fantasy, where beauty and cruelty coexist.
Every Choice Opens a New Path
TARAE: The Unbound reimagines classes rooted in Eastern tradition through fast, distinctive combat. Wield blades and firearms, master martial and mystic arts, or command the power of spirits. Each class fights with its own combat resource and skill system.
Set the core of your build with traits, then open new branches with support skills and unique gear. The balance and conflict of the Five Elements, the harmony of Yin and Yang, karma and the cycle of reincarnation all shape your leveling, equipment, and combat style. Even within a single class, different choices lead to entirely different builds.
“The wheel of reincarnation is about to turn. Better start building up some karma now.”
