It’s finally time.
In April 2025, we launched into Early Access on Steam. Since then, we’ve released 13 major content updates with a range of new gameplay features including new zombie types, new starting and recruitable characters, new Escape Plans, new systems and combat, new survivor missions and relationships, new weapons, new districts, new settings including difficulty and content control, save slots, and countless more additions.
With your help and feedback, we’ve also squished numerous bugs and developed significant improvements.
Today we are proud to announce that Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days will be leaving Early Access and entering 1.0 release in March 2027.
For those of you who have been patiently waiting for a console release, we’re also pleased to share that Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. We’re also bringing it to the Epic Games Store and GeForce NOW, and we’ll be keeping it Steam Deck verified, so there will be plenty of ways to play in 2027.
And don’t worry, this isn’t the end! There’s still more for us to do in Early Access before we reach 1.0, and updates will continue until we’ve ticked all the boxes on our roadmap. (Yes, there will be achievements.)
